Michigan Science Olympiad is part of an international event that is one of the premier science competitions for middle school and high school youth across the U.S. Aimed at increasing student interest in science, the tournaments are rigorous academic competitions that consist of year-long preparation. The tournament has been held at MSU each year since 1990.
