Slavery to Freedom Lecture: Johnny Ford  (Conferences / Seminars / Lectures)

Johnny Ford, the first African American mayor of Tuskegee, Alabama, was one of the first African American mayors for a U.S. city with a population over 10,000 people. After serving Tuskegee for six consecutive terms, he served in the Alabama House of Representatives, becoming the state's first black Republican in the legislature in more than 100 years. He understands the value of collaboration, of sharing and service.

The Slavery to Freedom lecture series is designed to give members of the mid-Michigan community with opportunities for interaction with multicultural leaders from education, business, industry entertainment and government.
