50 Years On: Conversations Around the Collection  (Exhibits (Museum, Gardens, ...))

The Broad MSU is offering a series of programs that promote discussion about the burden of racism in American society to complement the upcoming April 3 campus visit by the award-winning writer journalist Ta-Nehisi Coates as part of the World View Lecture Series.

Join us as we celebrate Black History Month with the first event in our spring series collaboration with the Residential College in the Arts and Humanities titled, "50 Years On: Reflections on Race, Racism and the Legacies of the 1967 Detroit Riots."

Our first installment of three conversations features assistant curator, Carla Acevedo-Yates, along with special guest Jena Baker-Calloway of the MSU Detroit Center, who will use the work of Detroit Artist, Tyree Guyton.

Support for this program provided by the MSU Creating Inclusive Excellence Grant/Office for Inclusion.
