Tower Guard Shamrock 5K Run - Walk - Roll, 17th Annual
Students, staff and community members of all ages and abilities are welcome to come run, walk or roll in this 5K the weekend after St. Patrick's Day! Tower Guard is the oldest service organization on campus and is dedicated to assisting students with disabilities at Michigan State University by reading and transcribing textbooks and exams, assisting with class and laboratory work and providing campus orientation, among many other things. We volunteer under the direction of the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities (RCPD), which functions to provide technical assistance, auxiliary services and training to our volunteers and students with disabilities. more information...
The Tower Guard class of 2000 founded the Shamrock 5k Run - Walk - Roll as an annual event to raise funds for the RCPD. This year we carry on the tradition and are hosting the 17th Annual Shamrock 5k on March 26, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Conrad Hall, located on the Michigan State University campus at Conrad Hall.
This race is open and accessible to everyone! Registration is live online, and only $20 gets you a T-shirt, giveaways and raffle entries for hundreds of dollars worth of prizes! Extra raffle tickets will be available for purchase as well. Race-day registration is available for an extra $5 and begins at 9:30 a.m. Best of all, 100% of the proceeds are donated to the RCPD! Rally your friends and family - come make a difference, hang out with Sparty, dance to the DJ, and enjoy the course along the beautiful springtime Red Cedar River!
