As part of the MSU Science Festival, the University Archives is hosting a behind the scenes tour and open house. Participants will be able to see and touch scrapbooks, photographs, diaries, and other historical items from the 1860s through the 1980s. Learn about breakthroughs in cancer treatment, agricultural science at MSU, and other STEM topics. This is a unique opportunity to see gems of the MSU Archives' science collections, to tour areas of the archives not typically accessible to visitors, and to meet and talk with the University's archivists who care for over 160 years of MSU history.
A hands-on activity will be available for those who want to learn about the scientific aspects of archival work, such as humidifying photos, or paper de-acidification.
