Science Advice for Policy Decisions: Is Anyone Listening?

Marcia McNutt is president of the National Academy of Sciences, former editor-in-chief of Science journals and former director of the U.S. Geological Survey.
McNutt leads the academy that is charged with "providing independent, objective advice to the nation on matters related to science and technology." Throughout her career, she has played crucial roles during some of the nation's and the world's most pivotal events.
The lecture is open to the public and will be followed by a reception.
