"Maximizing Students' Performance with Authentic Assessments"
Yoshiko Saito-Abbott is the chair of the School of World Languages and Culture and the director of the Monterey Bay World Language Project at California State University, Monterey Bay. She is also the president of the American Association of Teachers of Japanese.
"Using Authentic Materials in the Japanese Classroom"
Charlene Polio is the associate chair of the Department of Linguistics and Germanic, Slavic, Asian & African Languages and the co-director of the Center for Language Education and Research at Michigan State University.
This workshop is for teachers of Japanese at K-16 levels and heritage programs. The workshop is free, and a light breakfast and lunch will be provided. For more information or questions contact Jennifer Pippin at pippinj1@msu.edu.
