Award-winning Detroit newspaper columnist Rochelle Riley will discuss her new book, "The Burden: African Americans and the Enduring Impact of Slavery" (Wayne State University Press). The event will feature a conversation with Riley and MSU Museum Director Mark Auslander about "The Burden" and its subject: How slavery's aftermath continues to diminish the live of black Americans today.
