Sharper Focus/Wider Lens: All About Auto

The Honors College's 28th installment of Sharper Focus/Wider Lens will feature the topic, "All About Auto" at 7 p.m., Monday, March 19. This event is free and open to the public and will be located at the MSU Union Ballroom (2nd floor).
It features a trans-disciplinary discussion among MSU faculty that will explore areas such as race car driver safety and physiology, innovation and research behind autonomous vehicles, the biomechanics behind the design of automobiles, the history of the auto industry in cities such as Flint, Grand Rapids and Detroit, and the social, political and economic implications of autonomous cars from an urban design perspective. Audience Q & A will follow.

Lisa Fine, PhD, Department of History
Hayder Radha, PhD, College of Engineering
Mark Wilson, PhD, School of Planning, Design, and Construction.
The panel will be moderated by Cynthia Jackson-Elmoore, PhD, Honors College.
