MSU Extension Programs in Tourism Developement  (Conferences / Seminars / Lectures)

MSU Extension's tourism team works statewide addressing community needs and interests in leveraging assets and resources for tourism development. In this seminar, Andy Northrop will discuss the Tourism Development Programs and how they have helped rural and urban communities identify assets, leverage first-time visitors' perspectives to strengthen communities and spawn regional collaborations. He will also discuss forms of agritourism, nature-based tourism and cultural tourism and the importance of those types of tourism in MI and globally too. Attendees will have an opportunity to share tourism examples in their countries as well.
