YEAR OF GLOBAL AFRICA: Snares to Wares: Emmanuel Wokurach at the RCAH LookOut! Gallery  (Special Events)

Join us for an evening of music and conversation with Emmanuel Wokurach on April 23 at the Lookout! Gallery in Snyder-Phillips Hall.  This event is presented by Snares to Wares, a community-based conservation initiative dedicated to improving human livelihood and protecting wildlife in and around the village of Pakwach, Uganda.

Wokurach was born in Pakwach, Uganda.  He has been playing the African harp for most of his adult life, despite losing his eyesight to cerebral malaria at the age of 7.

This event is co-sponsored by Lyman Briggs College, College of Arts and Letters, Dept. of Art, Art History and Design; College of Music (Diversity Inclusion Committee); Global Engagement Network/RCAH; Residential College in the Arts and Humanities; Center for Advanced Study of International Development; and the Honors College.

This event is open to students and all of the MSU and local community.
