Book Design Using Microsoft Word
(Academic)
Do you need to print a book for a class or personal use but don't know where to start? Library staff offer free workshops providing an introduction to book design and library publishing services.
At the workshop you will learn:
- File requirements for printing books
- Copyright compliance
- How to set up interior and cover files for books using Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Powerpoint
- Time-saving design tools available in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word
- How to submit files through MSU FileDepot
Can't make it to one of the workshops? Classes or groups of five or more may request a book design workshop; please contact Julie Taylor (taylorjk@lib.msu.edu) to check for availability and schedule a date and time for your workshop.
Workshops are free, but seating is limited. Search for your workshop and reserve your place here: https://bookings.lib.msu.edu more information...
