Spring Poetry Festival: Tyehimba Jess Reading
(Special Events) Celebrate National Poetry Month with the RCAH Center for Poetry as we welcome the second reader in our annual Spring Poetry Festival. Jess is the award winning author of two books of poetry: Leadbelly and Olio. Olio won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize, the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award, The Midland Society Author's Award in Poetry, and received an Outstanding Contribution to Publishing Citation from the Black Caucus of the American Library Association. Come hear Jess read from these works and more, beginning with an afternoon discussion at the LookOut! Gallery and followed by a 7 p.m. reading in the RCAH Theater.
