National Fossil Day
(Public Programs) National Fossil Day is a celebration organized by The National Park Service and the American Geosciences Institute to promote public awareness and stewardship of fossils, as well as to foster a greater appreciation of their scientific and educational value. Bring in a rock, bone, fossil, or other natural object for a museum curator to identify. Additional activities include a Michigan fossil dig and sift, behind-the-scenes tours, fossil molds to make and take, and more!
