Did you know there are between 10,000 and 13,000 refugees currently living in mid-Michigan? The beauTIEful project, created by local entrepreneur and MSU student Bridgeen Shapton, builds on community-created designs, transforming them into scarves and ties to be sold in support of a local charity. For this iteration of her project, Bridgeen met with 40 middle school and high school students from the RDC to collaborate, and teach them about how art can give back!
