Jazz: Spirituals, Prayer and Protest Concert

Two performances, 3 and 7 p.m., a commemorative concert celebrating the birth of Martin Luther King, Jr., features Jazz Orchestras and special guests. This event is part of the week-long 40th Anniversary celebration from January 18-24, coordinated by MSU's Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives. This year's celebratory theme, "Still I Rise," is inspired by the Maya Angelou poem and highlights the accomplishments of and equal rights given to women in America.
