Educator Workshop: Be/Longing + Placekeeping  (Public Programs)

What does it mean to teach from a place of love? Middle and high school educators are invited to join Tamara Butler, Ph.D., assistant professor in English Education and African American Studies, for a workshop that will explore the concept of belonging through written and visual messages. In connection with the collection exhibition, Visual Citizenship, Butler will lead discussion, reflection, and a hands-on activity that encourage educators to mobilize notions of care through letter writing and collage.

Cost of registration ($15) covers a breakfast of bagels, coffee, and tea. SCHECHs are available.
