The 1st Annual Frances 5K & Festival is to honor the life, light & legacy of a special member of the MSU community: Frances Kaneene. All event proceeds will go to the Scholarship MSU opened in her memory, as her legacy. There is no requirement at all to walk or run if you sign up, the main focus will be on the festival: live music, food, art, games & the beautiful Greater Lansing community coming together at Hawk Island.

The event will be family-friendly and open to all. It will kick off with an incredible pre-show by the MSU Drumline, MSU Cheer Team & MSU Dance Team & be followed by a festival of live music, a dozen food trucks & special performances.
