Michigan State University Fraternity and Sorority Life Safe Halloween
(Special Events)
Safe Halloween street carnival event will take place the evening of Wednesday, Oct. 27 on M.A.C. Avenue between Burcham Dr. and Linden St from 5-7pm. The event is free and open to the public.
This festive family event will consist of a variety of activities, including face painting, Halloween games, trick-or-treating at the various Greek houses, costume contests, live music, inflatable moonwalks, a reading circle, arts and crafts and much more. A DJ will also be in attendance playing some fun Halloween tunes, and local businesses will be handing out their own trick-or-treat goodies.
Safe Halloween is an annual philanthropic event that has been hosted by Michigan State University fraternity and sorority chapters for over 20 years. This fun-filled evening provides children and families a safe trick-or-treating alternative in one of MSU's Greek neighborhoods.
Each year, the Safe Halloween Planning Committee selects an organization as its designated charity. Funds to benefit this charity are raised through Safe Halloween event sponsorship, fundraisers at local restaurants and Safe Halloween t-shirt sales to fraternity and sorority members.
For more information about the event, visit the Michigan State Safe Halloween Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages, or contact Safe Halloween Public Relations Director, Kennedy Aswegen, at aswegenk@msu.edu.
