Con Amore: Puccini and More
(Performing Arts (Dance, Music, Theatre, ...))
In 1924, the world mourned the passing of several renowned composers, including Giacomo Puccini and Ferruccio Busoni of Italy, Gabriel Fauré of France, Victor Herbert of the United States, and Cecil Sharp of the United Kingdom. These influential giants bridged the Romantic Era with the rise of the modern Classical Era, and all left an indelible mark with songs that are still celebrated today. In the 100th anniversary year of their passing, vocal artists from the College of Music faculty honor these composers in a concert that explores some of their greatest operatic works and arias. more information...
