Managing Overwhelm: Balance in Stressful Times
(Conferences / Seminars / Lectures)
In today's educational environment, balancing the demands of teaching, administrative duties, and personal responsibilities can often lead to feelings of overwhelm and stress. This session is designed to provide practical strategies and tools to effectively manage these challenges and support personal well-being.
Unfortunately, there is no "magic formula" for managing overwhelm and finding balance. Through thoughtfully facilitated dialogue, peer-to-peer resource sharing, and proactive action planning, participants will walk away with strategies to help you navigate stress and prioritize self-care, empowering you to thrive in your role as an educator.
We welcome all educators who are willing to engage in conversation with others to share and learning strategies for managing stress and overwhelm with and from one another. We are very excited about some of our colleagues who will be joining us in this conversation, including but not limited to:
- Lisa Laughman, Spartan Resilience Program Director
- Katie Peterson, Educational Developer for Academic Advisors
- Megumi Moore, Director of Graduate School Office of Well-Being
- Sheila Marquardt, Coordinator of Global Initiatives
Upon completion of this learning experience participants will be able to:
recognize and articulate the primary sources and impact of overwhelm and stress in their professional and personal lives
engage in facilitated dialogue and peer-to-peer resource sharing to discover and discuss practical strategies and tools for managing stress
create a proactive and individualized action plan that incorporates specific self-care practices and stress management techniques
Registration is required. There are 31 seats available. more information...
