Muslim Journeys book club  (Special Events)

"The Moor's Account" (historical fiction) by Laila Lalami, led by Leila Tarakji, graduate student, Department of English

The MSU Muslim Studies Program and MSU Libraries are hosting a new Muslim Journeys scholar-led book discussion series in 2016-2017. This series focuses on Islam in the U.S. and on different genres of Muslim American literature.
Each session will begin with a short lecture from a scholar, followed by smaller group book discussions and ending with questions and answers. The smaller group discussions will be facilitated by MSU graduate students.
Participants are encouraged to read the book ahead of time, and to attend as many sessions as possible.
All sessions are free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served. Community members, undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff and alumni are invited to participate.
Co-sponsored by the Islamic Society of Greater Lansing and the Interfaith Clergy Association of Greater Lansing and the MSU Comics Forum.
