Women's Day of Service
(Special Events)
The 2nd Annual Women's Day of Service will be hosted by MSU student organization, the Women's Initiate for Leadership Development (WILD) and the MSU Women's Resource Center (WRC) on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
This volunteer event brings the Spartan community to a one-day event to give back to the following local organizations: Lansing City Rescue Mission, Greater Lansing Food Bank and Haven House.
The Women's Day of Service opening and closing ceremony will be held at McDonel Hall - Kiva, Michigan State University, East Lansing. MSU students, staff, faculty, and the local community of all genders are encouraged to participate.
Volunteers are required to register and are advised to wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. Limited transportation will be provided to volunteer sites and McDonel Hall - Kiva for the closing ceremony. Volunteers are encouraged to carpool to service sites.
To register, complete the following steps:
1. Sign up for a Give Gab account (www.givegab.com)
2. Join Michigan State University under "Universities" tab at top of page
3. Click "Groups" tab at left of page-Women's Resource Center; join group
4. Click "Volunteer" tab at left-Women's Day of Service; select a task
5. Volunteer on Saturday, April 12, 2014!
