Jurgen Schaflechner studied Modern South Asian Languages and Literatures at the University of Heidelberg. His doctoral degree was based on an interdisciplinary work in literary studies and anthropology. Currently, he work as an assistant professor at the South Asia Institute, University of Heidelberg.
